A little About Me
My name is April Eisenman and I live in NC. I have an Associates Degree in Interior Design. In Design School I took Art and Drafting courses and rediscovered my love for drawing. Upon graduating I was hired at a business that specialized in wallpaper and custom window treatments. There I was able to draw and design for clients. Fast Forward a few years later and other career avenues and business ventures I became a stay at home mom. When my little girl was just a tiny thing she wanted me to draw with her one day. So I picked up a pencil and never put it back down. I would draw when she went to sleep and study anything and everything I could get my hands on about portraiture. Now she is in school and in between volunteering at her school, dance classes, homework, and just being mom and wife I am making a business out of my love for portrait drawing.

My First Journal Entry

This is my first journal entry...as the title implies. lol I decided it would be a good idea to let viewers know what I'm working
on, as sometimes it takes me a while to submit another piece. At the moment I'm doing a commission of two little boys. Its the
first Portrait that I've done in a while that includes more than one subject and the first ever Commission that I have done
with more than one subject. I am also working from a 5" X 7" photograph (in color) drawing on 11" x 14" Smooth Bristol which
is not something I've done very often. So this one is proving to be quite challenging but definitely fun. So hopefully in the next
